Hand block printing is a traditional textile printing technique where artisans carve designs onto wooden blocks and hand-stamp them onto fabric using natural or fabric dyes. 

Hand block printed bedsheets are printed by skilled artisans using carved wooden blocks and natural dyes — each piece is unique with slight variations that reflect genuine handcraft. Machine printed bedsheets use automated printing with synthetic dyes producing identical, mass-produced patterns. Block printed fabrics are more breathable, eco-friendly and carry the soul of Indian artisan tradition. At Sahyansh all our bedsheets are 100% hand block printed.

Jaipuri block printing is a centuries-old traditional craft from Jaipur, Rajasthan where skilled artisans hand carve intricate patterns onto wooden blocks and stamp them onto fabric using natural dyes. Each block is pressed by hand, one motif at a time, creating unique textiles with slight natural variations that are a mark of authentic handcraft. At Sahyansh, every product is made using this traditional technique by artisans in Jaipur.

Yes, our hand block print mulmul quilts are suitable for all seasons. The 100% cotton filling and breathable mulmul fabric keep you warm in  winters without overheating — making them perfect for summers as AC quilts,used across most parts of India.

All Sahyansh quilts are filled with 100% natural cotton, sandwiched between two layers of soft mulmul fabric. We do not use any synthetic fibre or hollow fibre filling. The cotton filling makes our quilts breathable, lightweight and naturally warm — ideal for the Indian climate. 

Yes, every product at Sahyansh is authentically hand block printed by skilled artisans in Jaipur, Rajasthan. We use traditional carved wooden blocks and natural dyes — no machine printing. Each piece is unique and may have slight variations which are a mark of genuine handcraft.

A Dohar is a lightweight double layered cotton blanket perfect for summers . A Quilt (razai) is thicker and warmer with cotton filling — ideal for winters. Both are hand block printed and crafted by Jaipur artisans at Sahyansh.

Once order received we try to dispatch the order within a time frame of 3 days. We deliver across India within 5–7 business days. All orders are carefully packed to protect the hand block print fabric during transit. You will receive a tracking link once your order is dispatched.

Due to the nature of our products — large handcrafted quilts, bedsheets and dohars — volumetric shipping costs make COD unavailable. We accept all major UPI payments, credit/debit cards and net banking for secure and hassle-free checkout. 

Natural dye colours may soften slightly after the first few washes — this is normal and part of the charm of authentic hand block printing. To keep the colours vibrant for longer, always wash in cold water, use a mild detergent, avoid bleach completely, and dry in shade away from direct sunlight. Turning the fabric inside out before washing also helps preserve the print.

 Machine wash cold with a mild detergent on a gentle cycle. Avoid bleach and do not tumble dry. Dry in shade to preserve the block print colours. First wash separately as slight colour bleeding is normal for natural dyes. If not mentioned to wash please dry clean.

All products are made with utmost care and quality kept in mind so we do not accept returns. Returns are provided only in case of damage in transit or defective product recevied.

In the unlikely event that delivery has been unsuccessful and returned to us by the shipping partner (due to wrong address or contact etc.)we may generate refund,but certain charges are non refundable which includes 4% payment processing charges+GST,charged by payment gateway and website hosting platform and convenience fee of INR 200.
